Ethnic Cleansing in Germany: A Symposium

CONCLUSION

The right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is common to any democracy. And the freedom to pursue a livelihood, to worship, to participate in the political process, and to be free to live without fear of government retribution are fundamental human rights.

That scenario, however, does not exist in modern Germany. Although it describes itself as a democracy, evidence is abundant of increasing discrimination and government-instigated human rights violations, all of which are a direct contradiction to Germany’s own constitution which contains provisions to guarantee the free practice of religion.

As history has taught, when the rights of one group are threatened, the rights of all are endangered.
